Sheppard’s – Our accreditations

In addition to our wealth of expertise and experience across all divisions at Sheppard’s, and these are showcased below.

How we work

Constructionline

Constructionline have been working with construction buyers and suppliers for 20 years – they work closely with our partners and have a deep understanding of buyers’ needs. They pride themselves on opening up opportunities for members to access a wide range of procurement contracts and projects – and buyers to access a validated pool of high quality suppliers.

Compliance is at the heart of what they do. Whether it’s getting to grips with new standards and requirements or updating our systems to enable buyers to search on a wider range of criteria, their longstanding experts keep ahead of changing regulation – and so does their platform.

Worcester Bosch accredited installer

As your local Worcester Bosch accredited installer we can offer a wide range of benefits, such as finance options and extended guarantees on selected boiler of up to 12 years.

Additionally, you can have complete peace of mind if we are working in your home that the quality of our workmanship will be of the highest of standards.

Gas Safe Engineers

Working with gas can be dangerous, so it’s crucial that you never try to fix, fit or move appliances like your boiler or cooker yourself. Poorly fitted or serviced gas appliances can cause gas leaks, fires, explosions and carbon monoxide poisoning; it just isn’t worth the risk.

By law, anyone carrying out work on gas appliances and fittings as part of their business must be competent and registered with the Gas Safe register. That’s why we’d advise that you only ever use a Gas Safe registered engineer to carry out gas work in your home. You can confirm Sheppard’s with the registration number 559995 To help you and your family stay safe while you’re making improvements to your home, here are our top tips:

  • Don’t DIY with gas appliances, use a Gas Safe registered engineer
  • Don’t block or cover air vents and flues; 'they are essential for safely working gas appliances’
  • Never try to remove or repair a gas appliance yourself
  • If you’re having building work done, always ensure your contractor is qualified
  • Check where your gas pipes are located – make sure you don’t accidentally hit them during DIY work

OFTEC registered engineers

An OFTEC registered technician provides peace of mind that you are choosing a skilled and qualified technician, rather than an untrained and potentially incompetent workmen. Using an installer who is registered with OFTEC can also save time and reduce costs because they self-certify their work, avoiding the need for a building inspection and associated fees. Because their work is covered by a warranty it also means you will avoid any complications in the unlikely event that their work does not comply with the building regulations.

Employing an OFTEC registered technician for the regular servicing and maintenance of oil and solid fuel heating equipment is the best guarantee that your system will run safely and efficiently.
